Biography

I trained as an Architect at the Sheffield School of Architecture and at The Royal Danish Academy of Fine Arts.

At Sheffield I developed a passion for politically and socially conscious design and construction. I graduated with BA First Class honours. I was awarded the 2015 RIBA Yorkshire Student Gold Medal for my final year project Alzheimer's Plant Science Centre, Liverpool.

At The Royal Danish Academy (KADK) my final MA thesis project Close to Home investigated architectural and urban strategies which could improve China's mental healthcare infrastructure. The project was awarded a distinction by the thesis jury, and was the recipient of the 2019 KADK United Nations Scholarship and has been shortlisted for the 2020 Fundació Mies van der Rohe YTAA Awards.

I currently work for Morris + Company, in Copenhagen.

I have over 6 years of professional experience and previously worked for the internationally pre-eminent practice, 2015 RIBA Gold Medal winners O'Donnell + Tuomey, as an Architectural Assistant in London.

While at the practice I was involved in the design development of the new location for the Victoria and Albert Museum, a new theatre for the Sadler's Wells dance company and high rise residential towers all forming the Stratford Waterfront Cultural Quarter in the London Olympic Park.

Prior to joining O'Donnell + Tuomey I worked for Mikhail Riches on a broad range of residential, commercial and cultural buildings across the UK, working from design inception to tender documentation. Key projects include the winning competition for the second phase of the Park Hill regeneration in Sheffield and developing the design for Goldsmith Street, the UK’s largest local authority passivhaus residential development in Norfolk. The project won the inaugural Neave Brown Award for Housing and the 2019 Stirling Prize - the highest award in British architecture.
